Summary of Industry - University collaboration workshop New!

The NORDICT research framework of industry partners and participating universities will provide an optimal platform for systematically involving SME small and medium sized enterprises in knowledge sharing and continuing education. Three main components in the first phase of the NORDICT project will provide a structured and comprehensive approach to directly integrate SME companies in the process:

• an explorative  study of ICT sector SME company needs and potential benefits from research cooperation
• development of a knowledge sharing platform for  exchange of relevant research information targeted at SME company ICT business needs
• establish NordICT pilot projects with participation of selected SME companies

 

Based on the industry survey and additional meetings with IT-B, ITEK and enterprises associated with the trade organizations, a plan will be outlined to define the NordICT framework for collaboration including practical realization of pilot projects involving SME companies based on student and research projects. This phase will also define other ways of knowledge sharing between NordICT and the SME companies in the form of continuing education programs, focused seminars, experimental ICT based virtual workshops as well as conferences
